Celebrate Pizza Month with Home Care Services in Marina Del Rey CA

It might not seem like the type of thing that you would plan with home care services, but millions of people across the country love pizza and what better time to plan a special pizza night with your elderly loved one than in October. This is National Pizza month, and that means it’s the perfect time to take a moment, sit down with family, and have good conversation while enjoying a delectable pizza pie.

No, this isn’t a public service announcement trying to sell more pizzas.  And no, it’s not about causing your salivary glands to begin watering while you’re still hours away from a meal yourself.  It’s meant to give you another idea of something you can do with your loved one, especially if he or she relies on in home health care services.Home Care Services Marina Del Rey CA

Think about it for a moment: what does the in home health care services do for your loved one? They likely come in once a day, maybe for a few hours, and check on them, assist them with whatever they need, ensure that they are taking their medication properly, and any number of other things, including cooking meals, helping with the laundry, and so on.

Even if the in home care provider lives with your loved one, it can be easy to take what they do for granted. You expect them to be there. You know that your loved one is being cared for, looked out for, and that you don’t have to worry too much about their health and well being at the moment.

Pizza month is a great excuse to plan a meal at your loved one’s home, or better yet, invite them, along with his or her in home care provider, out to a nice Italian pizzeria. How often do you do these things anymore?  Even when it comes to our own families, we tend to be too busy to think about the little things, but it’s the little things that end up building up the greatest memories.

Find out what your loved one prefers on his or her pizza, and also include the home health care services provider. Find out what she or he likes and even if it’s anchovies or some other topping that violates the palette, make sure that you cater to their preferences.  It won’t be too bad; you could handle a few anchovies or black olives, or take them off if you choose.

This month, think about things that you can do with your elderly loved one that are outside the box and when you do, include home care services as this can go a long way toward lifting their spirits as well.
